With the free driver these problems do not occur at all. When I have the
driver on at random times the text on a page may not appear so you have
to scroll the page around till the text appears. That happens with any
elements in the page your working with such as images, text, etc.

Wow I meant to say the problem is not with plasma for me. The driver for
my Nvidia card is not working with Openoffice. It's simply that. The
icons and text go away after I hover and random times. So its not an
icon problem.

I enabled the drivers before from the Hardware Drivers program. When I
installed Ubuntu it didn't have the driver already installed at that
time, so I had to install the proprietary driver.

I have confirmed that this happens with the whole openoffice suite of
programs. I have also confirmed that every time I use a theme which uses
the human icons this happens to me.
