Title:
epstopdf has no #! line
I see the same behavior as Manuel. In Ubuntu 10.04, utmp.ut_host is
filled in with the X display name (such as :0), but in the proposed
update utmp.ut_host is left empty.

This bug was reported against Lucid, but the fix was released for Natty.
I still have this problem on my Ubuntu 10.04.4 servers. Did I miss the
Lucid update, or is the fix only available for Natty and later releases?

I get something of an error regardless which JVM I use (I used java6,
java5, and downloaded 1.4.2 directly from Sun). I'm not sure exactly
how related this is, but I get other problems (I have a Java app whose
Oracle JDBC driver can't even do a simple connect to a database). The

The IBM Java6 SDK doesn't trigger this bug, so if you can live with that
in the time being, it seems a good substitute until this gets fixed.

So should I be using the old drivers, or open a new bug report for this?

It seems it boots successfully sometimes, but that (I think) depends on
the order the devices are enumerated. I grabbed a dmesg of both a fail

This is the only bug I could find that I thought might be related to my
issue. I was going to try blacklisting the ata drivers as suggested
above, but I'm not sure how to include all the necessary ones to get the
old IDE driver (for now). I started having problems with 2.6.20-12,
though -11 works
