I can add that kernel 5.4.0-52-generic is NOT affected so the bug was
introduced between 5.4.0-53 and 5.4.0-58.

Title:
get_python_lib()
The root cause is the Debian patch: https://salsa.debian.org/cpython-
team/python3-stdlib/blob/master/debian/patches/3.6/distutils-install-

The patch changes behavior of the `get_python_lib` for two paths '/usr' and

Public bug reported:
When `get_python_lib` function is called with `/usr/local` prefix it
returns path which is not included into `sys.path` list. Consequently if
python package is installed under this path it cannot be imported by
python.
Path which is returned:

Seems root cause is a broken dependcy:

I tried apt-get update && apt-get upgrade,
dpkg --configure -a

Same thing here. Nikon D40x firmware version 1.00 on kernel "Linux localhost
2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Sun Oct 14 23:05:12 GMT 2007 i686 GNU/Linux" doesn't

I tried patching kernel 2.6.23 but also no luck there. Unfortunately there is
no firmware upgrade for D40x.

Hi,
I seem to have the same problem with Nikon D40x camera, but unlike D40 there
doesn't seem to be any firmware fixes.
Anyone have any ideas what to do with a D40x?
Thanks
