issue).
However there are still kernel messages "can't reset device,

I can't provide a test case.
I use sftp server and I have no permission to view configuration of it.
After upgrade to ubuntu 11.10 I noticed that backup archives were corrupted.
So I checked it with 'unzip -t' and there were errors.
I tried to do apt get upgrade but no result.
So I updated rsync m
