I am having this issue myself as well. I am on Ubuntu 11.10 and the
mouse is practically unusable. I have been making due with a USB mouse
but this is no longer an option for me as I have 4 systems set up with
KVM and a dedicated monitor on one system, the one with the bluetooth.
Is there any fix

devices. To add some more info, in my case when I booted the computer

look at the contents, format the drive, but I was not able to do much
more than that.
I was just browsing the forums on Ubuntu (
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1055176 ), where I read of a
bug involving symbolic links. The bug is that if you delete a folder
that is sylbolic link it will delete the contents of the folder as well

I have this bug as well. I have noticed it at other times as well (not
just adding and removing media.) Once I installed gvfs-
dbgsym=1.1.3-0ubuntu2 the problem went away.
In the ubuntu forums another person has reported the same result.
