Dim Inactive plugin disabled by default although stated as enabled

I have enabled plugin "Dim Inactive" and checked "Enabled ADD helper on
startup".
But when compiz started, inactive windows doesn't became dimmed.
Problem goes when I disable and then enable plugin.

I've found the fix.
For some reason, headers for 2.6.32-24 were not installed.
After I installed them, everything went fine.

Marufaberlin, thanks for the hint, but that didn't work for me.
Tried this commands:
apt-get remove nvidia-common
reboot now
apt-get install nvidia-common
reboot now
Driver still doesn't load.

I'm using version 6.5.1+cvs20060824 of libgl1-mesa-dri.
I believe this version was installed as a dependency to compiz
I removed compiz, and upgrade passed successfully
