Steps i've done to fix it:
1) copy /lib/udev/rules.d/85-lvm2.rules to /etc/udev/rules.d/
2) change ENV{ID_FS_TYPE}=="lvm*|LVM*" to ENV{ID_TYPE}=="disk"

Hi David, thanks for response. Unfortunately neither of those two
methods work. tsched=0 has no effect, just like sine wave test, but if i
set -r 48000 i hear perfect sine without noise. Looks like problem is on
lower level if it affects both PA and ALSA and has identical solution.

On my Lenovo V560 notebook both on Natty and Oneiric I'm experiencing crackling
sound.
Executing this line fixes problem for me:
sudo bash -c "echo 'default-sample-rate = 48000' >> /etc/pulse/daemon.conf" &&
killall pulseaudio
So changing default sample rate from 44100 to 48
I completely disagree with current behavior, where spacebar does nothing, here
is reasons:
1) Like Omer Akram said, pressing selected buttons is much like opening
selected files, so this behavior is consistent through different UI elements
2) As for me, opening files/folder with spacebar is most
After deleting bunch of configs in home folder and reboot problem got
fixed. I think now it's impossible to track what exactly caused it.

Binary package hint: nautilus
After some sudden moment nautilus stopped displaying desktop wallpaper and
instead it displays solid color. I can change color itself and change it from
solid to gradient and vice-versa. Nautilus just ignores wallpaper image.

I've figured out that same problem appears on clean Windows 7 install
and gets fixed after installing sound card drivers. Don't know if it can
help.

Thanks everyone, i've fixed my backlight problem with following steps:
1) set options video brightness_switch_enabled=0
to /etc/modprobe.d/video.conf
2) compile and install patched gnome-power-manager
Hope this changes will go to upstream. The only minor problem is that
gnome-power-manager is not

win95-like, now they are shown alike in Human gtk theme... nice and
