edit: I retryed to get the wired connection to work instead of the
wireless as I described above by killing nm-applet and NetworkManager
but it did not work again. I fideld around a long time and then gave up
(NetworkManager does not work, the gui is slow/hangs, ifconfig does not
work either...).
I have the exact issue on my notebook computer running a PRISM54 wireless card.
After yesterday's updates (as mentioned by Bart) networkmanager does not
connect to my wireless network (WPA/WPA2 with PSK). After killing the nm-applet
and plugging in a LAN cable I can configure the wired connection
I do strongly agree... Installing packages and working fast on the commandline
without autocompletion since Alpha 5 is a mess...
I first thought it would be a bug and looked up all my bashrc config files but
autocompletion was enabled per-user already. I tried enabling it in the global
/etc/bash
I experience the same problems on the MD41300 right now on Feisty. It
freezes very often a day (sometimes even every few minutes).
I wonder if this could be solved by simply booting with "nosmp"? (or add
"ht=off", because it shows 2 CPUs in System Monitor even you said HT is
disabled by default)
