After the upgrade of the im-switch, I have to start ibus manually in the
English locale, the ibus-daemon won't start automatically. What a pity.

@Gunnar Hjalmarsson
Hi Gunnar, I've tested by your PPA, but it doesn't work.
iBus still can't be activated in search box. I think #23 is right, it's
not ibus's problem, the problem is libnux.

Is there any plan to fix it in Ubuntu 11.10?
Until it has been fixed, I won't recommend Ubuntu to my Chinese friends
any more. If the CJK users can't search in their languages, how Ubuntu
can be an international operating system?
I agree the bug should be critical too.

@Marko
Thanks for the tip. Start a new "unity" from the shell fixes the problem
of Alt+Key!
I also found that if I disable the Unity in CCSM, then enable it will
fix the problem too.
Hope these information will help the developer to debug.

In Chinese locale (zh_CN.UTF-8), gcalctool is already broken because of
its localized digits feature.
I've already reported this problem to the upstream (

it too.

Yes. I have a fully updated Unity.
And I also have a clean installed Ubuntu 11.04 on the PC, I swapped the

Terminal tab.
Please see the attachment, and you can try the swapped alt/win, it might

I can reproduce this bug.
In my GNOME Terminal, only Ctrl+Alt+C works, CTRL+ALT+V doesn't work.
And I can't use Alt+(NUMBER) to switch the tab in all applications:
gedit, gnome-terminal and firefox.
