This is particularly bad on Focal systems managing other Focal systems, and
affects DataDog playboo
There is still value in a "you are fully up to date" message, and I
would expect such a behaviour change to be optional. This has not been
announced and I find myself unable to opt out. Offering users more
choice is great, but, I have no choices here. That doesn't sit right.

The built-in keyboard & touchpad on these machines are fully PS/2 based. At
first glance, building i8042 into the kernel proper seems sufficient:

To expand this bug report a little, this is a suggestion to backport changes to
snd-hda-intel that improve the support of the Realtek ALC262 codec as used in
Fujitsu Lifebook E & S series laptops (specifically ICH8-based machines such as
the S6410 & E8410).
