I installed the PPA and didn't had a single crash - until I tested upgrading to the new Lucid kernel: Linux Pisces 2.6.32-16-generic #24-Ubuntu SMP Sat Mar 6 12:32:35 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux. It took X 35 minutes to crash :). So I think we safely can assume that my bug is fixed in the newer ker

The problem lies not with NetworkManager itself, but with DHCP client. Somehow it disrupts the player some time (circa 4 minutes - buffer?) after a lease has been renewed. Totem with GStreamer halts after some 10-20 seconds, the same does MPlayer and Xine-UI player with default settings. Kaffeine
