I suspect the problem is SIGWINCH. I can reproduce this problem if I
resize or maximize the terminal window while snappy installs docker.
However once things fail they seem to continue to fail no matter what.

Hi,
I followed the steps in the "Launch Snappy locally with KVM on Linux"
section on http://www.ubuntu.com/cloud/tools/snappy. Then I ran the
steps in the "A snappy tour of Ubuntu Core!" section on
http://www.ubuntu.com/
This didn't work for me because I have `APT::Install-Recommends "0";`
set under `/etc/apt/apt.conf.d`. I had to explicitly install this
package by hand. A better solution IMHO would be to make this a required
dependency.

I don't know. The problem seems to be with virt-viewer. The workaround
is to edit the virtual machine's XML definition in /etc/libvrit/qemu.
According to `dpkg -S` that's owned by libvirt-bin.

switched to `kvm-spice` over `kvm`[1]. Host is 12.04 x86_64 (completely

if I purge jde, then emacs updates itself correctly. and then i can
aptitude install jde. however, i need to swap the first two lines in
/usr/share/doc-base/jde so that "Document:" is first. but i had
already corrected this problem, and this is not the cause of my report

There seem to be several bugs already reported concerning problems with
emacs upgrades, so rather than start a new one, I've just chosen this
one to add to. I have a fresh Gutsy x86 install. Everything went well.
But on a recent dist-upgrade emacs, jde, and ecb now have problems...
