Well, considering we waited 18 months to address the problem and it had
to do with upgrading something, It's kind of impossible to re-test it,
isn't it?

I am having the same issue on a Jaunty Mythbuntu install:
$ uname -a

I attached output from acpitool -e and dmidecode...
