I found a workaround. I've installed a NVDIA card in the same PC and now
everything works great.
I know it is not really helpfull but I am sure that the incompatibility
is with my Intel video adaptor.

Same problem, different video adapter. I have a Intel 82845/GL/GE/PE/GV
video adapter. I tried every suggestions I found in that post and I
still can't get the GUI. Text mode works find.
Instead of the GUI I see a Black Screen.
