Some more information on this:
When I have alpha blurring enabled in Compiz (without even using it for the
window decorations!), the window menu button really often does not show the
menu when clicked. After disabling the blur effect, the problem still exists,
but not as often as before. WTF? ;)
Also happens on my laptop with Intel graphics, by the way, so it's
definitely not an NVidia issue.

This actually is still an issue in 2.0.0.14, happens to me as described
in the first post here. Also heard from a friend that it happens there.
In fact its not the same for all messages, some can be replied to and
some cannot (at the moment the message which causes the problem is one

This seems to be reproducible now. After I've played around with the KDE
desktop effects (compiz related stuff like transparency and shadows) and
i turned that off again the bug appeared. Maybe someone could check
this.
