Binary package hint: network-manager
I was trying to create an encryoted wireless connection, but the create
button was not selectable. After I ran ubuntu-bug, I sussceded in
creating the connection; but now the connect button is not selectable.
Also I created it with mode In
Not to my knowledge, I think I
*Made a system upgrade
*Rebooted Ubuntu
*As there had been an update to the restricted-manager I enabled the
ATI accelerated graphics driver
I rebooted Ubuntu and it crashed - I don't know how to undo the change.

Of course not knowing VESA myself, I cannot judge, who is complying, but
knowing the resolutions supported, it's easy to find the information in
the Xorg log.

I think, the problem is, that my panel doesn't comply with the VESA
standard. See attached Xorg log.

I read your question again. -- Now I have tried the Restricted Graphics Driver.
As I understand, that is the ATI fglrx 8.34.8, and is supposed to support the
Radeon x1650 series. So maybe I need to change som parameters?
I only get to choose between resolusions 1024x768, 800x600 and 640x480 while
I don't realy know. I don't know much detail about Linux. I just made
the instalation the easy way, where i didn't get to answer many
questions, and I cannot find a graphics card in the device list.

I have A Dell 3007WFP monitor and a Radeon x1650xt graphic card w. Duallink
DVI. The monitor only supports two solutions 2560x1600 and 1280x800. Without
the correct driver the display is not nice. I don't know if this is a bug.
