I can confirm the workaround from comment #7 - I build the package and
added to --disable-aso to the debian/rules files and everything works
file.

Did someone experience this problem on an non Logitech mouse?
I exchanged many Logitech mouse at my dealer because of this problem.
The problem appears at the Performance MX after one month of usage, even
under windows. After exchanging the mouse the problem disappears. My

I installed thunderbird, which has an build in search. It works great.
Tracker should be able to access the index, but I have never tested
this.

I move just hard disk from my broken ThinkPad with Core i7 to an AMD
Phenom II X6. A brand new Logitech Performance MX mouse is connected
through the same usb hub. On my ThinkPad the double click issue was very
seldom. On the AMD system it is permanent. Maybe the error exists in the
usb stack of th
I cannot reproduce this bug in every configuration, especially on my fresh test
installation. My assumption. This bugs depends on the maximum transactions/s of
the setup. Fragmentation of the disc have a negative effect on this bug.
Especially my encrypted lvm volumes drops after a lot of usage.
The heavy io problem is partial a ubuntu problem. While copying some
files from one hard disk to another with ubuntu (Karmic), my system
becomes completely unresponsive with the ppa (32) and the 2.6.31 kernel.
The same copy operation with Fedora 12 and the kernel 2.6.32 produces no
freezes.

I want to correct my comment #17. The xorg-x11-drv-evdev-2.2.1-3.fc11
solves the problem completely. The is no double click behaviour with my
ps/2 and my new wireless mouse. My bluetooth mouse has an double click
defect.

I got my fan replacement for my ThinkPad T61p and the temperature is at
max. 83°C with Windows and at max. 85°C with Linux 2.6.30.5, while using
both cores and the Nvidia Quadro FX570M. Before the replacement the
temperature was >= 97°C, before the cpu clocks down. As it is the second

I was working with the kernel 2.6.29 and currently with the kernel
2.6.30. The drive bay is working fine with the default acpi driver. With
the 2.6.30 I have to call echo 0 0 0 > /sys/class/scsi_host/host1/scan
as root to get my devices, 2.6.29 scans automatically on insert the hard
drive.

I can confirm the problem on jaunty with kernel 2.6.30.3. It's an
upsteam kernel problem or not a kernel problem. The fan does stays
always at level 5 (~3000-3100 rmps) and does not reach the maximum level
7 (3500/3300rpms).
For all ThinkPad T61p users. There is an additional problem with the
fan.
By changing the clocksource to jiffies, the problem disappears on my notebook
with my bluetooth 1.1 mouse. With the default clocksource hpet the problem is
permanent.
I am using 2.6.30 kernel from kernel.org with timer frequency 250Hz.

Randomly I get double clicks when I do a single click.
I am not sure, if it is related. I have the same problem with my
keyboard from time to time. Switching between desktops with CTRL+F1
during heavy I/O, the last running program opens many help windows.
Sometimes it stops only while pressing the F1 key again. It's like the
key was never released. Mos
I have compiled the xorg-x11-drv-evdev-2.2.1-3.fc11 and tried instead of
the xf86-input-evdev-2.1.1 ubuntu package. The double click behaviour is
reduces, but still there. I was not able to reproduce the problem with
my PS/2 wireless mouse any more, but it exists still with my bluetooth
1.1 mouse.
I have the same same problem with a Logitech bluetooth mouse and a
Logitech wireless mouse since Jaunty? A USB mouse works fine with
Jaunty, but I could produce this bug with my synaptic mouse
infrequently. There are not left button double-click problems in 8.04
and Fedora 10 on my system.

It's not a Tracker only problem. I have tried Beagle and Tracker on an
old Evolution account with local fetchmail/postfix retrieval. There are
no errors in the mails, ev-summery and *cmeta*, as I have resolved all
existing errors. I have tried a new created Evolution account too, but

I don't think this bug is SATA related. I have noticed this bug, while
switching from 2.6.20 to 2.6.22 (Feisty to Gutsy) on a PATA drive.
People recognized the while switching from 6.06 to 8.10.
Can you try to execute "time cat * > /dev/null" on the SATA with and
without NCQ and on PATA drive?
