We also see this issue.. which Ubuntu revision do we need to use to
include the patch in the mainline tree. We currently use 14.04.2 LTS.

For some reason, I was kicked to bash while the regular mouse pointer
was still available. I did ctrl+alt+f1 to switch to another console,
and then I switched back to ctrl+alt+f7 to bring back Unity. Very
strange.
