I tested the new package-update of cups with my Canon Pixma iP4500 plugged on
the Livebox2 router. And now, I can print via wifi like before under Ubuntu
10.10 .
So for me, the bug is fixed.

I tried this new package and my Canon ip4500 was recognized and installed
immediatly when I plugged the usb : until now nothing happened (I haven't add
the usblp kernel module). So it works. Thanks for the job.

scanner is detected immediatly but not the printer. Before with Ubuntu 10.10,
there wasn't any problem.

Like GALLINARI, I confirm this bug under 11.10 with a Canon Pixma iP4500
connected by USB to a Livebox2 (modem router ADSL). Under 10.10 and 11.04 there
wasn't any problem : I could print using IPP. But since I upgraded to 11.10
it's impossible. I can print if I connect directly my printer

a reboot. On 10.10 it's worked immediatly without any problem and we
could choose between many locations (it isn't possible since 11.10).

I confirm this problem under 11.10 Oneiric : new installation in my Laptop ASUS
N71V (X77J).
I have installed Synaptics and Pointing Device but no effect : click and drag
impossible.
No problem for clicking but impossible to select text too dragging or to move
an icon.

I have the same problem : my server is under Ubuntu 8.04 and the language by
default is French but the login screen of the thin clients is always in English
(it shows "username", "password", "preferences" (and its menu : shutdown,
restart...).
But the keymap is good ( there are the accents etc.)
When I restarted, this problem has disappeared.
