I don't know why I land up here. The PC tells me there are updates and then it
refuses to install the updates. I'm told to check my
connection but my connection is solid !!!

I have given up, I have one PC where Ubuntu half runs, not perfect either.
On my main PC it does not even install properly, fails to see my monitor.
After I install the left side is invisible because it gives me a very low
resolution.

Despite all the reported problems it seems to have installed after all.
I have had no memory problems with XP
Everything seems to be working although I have not tested all the
applications yet. I hope I won't pick up any problems later.

I wanted to use 33 Gigabyte for Ubuntu and leave 41 Gigabyte for XP. I only
got 3 Gigabyte for Ubuntu and it keeps complaining about not enough space. I
