And just on that... I tested the 1024 x 768 setting under metacity
and it didnt display the bug as it did under compiz. Perhaps gnome-panel
is more definite under metacity than compiz.

The bug has reappeared again... Tango theme... I opened Gmail from the
cGmail tray and firefox now starts fullscreen every time regardless of
how i open it (icons, aMSN, terminal, ALT+F2) my screen resolution
is 1024x768, and never changes I changed to a third party theme, and

to mention (yet again) that it happened on a brand new install of
ubuntu... I upgraded from 7.10 by doing a fresh install, keeping a
second partition which is mounted /home and doing an rm /home/.* prior

tried a different profile or turning of desktop effects, however I
installed a new theme and have not had a problem since... so perhaps the
bug is actually with the default tango theme...

under Applications menu, or when i opened hotmail directly from aMSN...
but not when i ran from ALT F2 or yakuake drop down terminal (these are
the only ways ive opened firefox, and it only happens on first initial
