For some reason php5.conf did not appear in my mods-available
directory. I installed it manually and provided a link in
mods-enabled, and now it works.

I get a similar problem with several applications. For instance, if I

I have a similar problem, but I installed directly 7.04. My Apache2
works for .html files but does not for .php. I think I installed all the
relevant packages for PHP5: libapache2-mod-php5, php5-cgi and all
implied packages.
