I experience very regular hangs of emacs-gtk. The window freezes for around 10
seconds, and sometimes when it happens, the whole GNOME desktop freezes as
well. There is no visible triggers to that except interacting with the GUI.
This is very inconvenient since emacs is the only available I

Hi,
I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 installed with the delivered Ubuntu CD and
proposed hard-disc layout, and since then regularly updated.
During last update I have encountered the same problem described here
and I really think it should be solved quit fast. For advanced users
working around is easy
