Issue still exists on Ubuntu 16.04 will the latest released updates
installed. Is the fix released for 16.04 as well? If not, can we not
mark the bug as Fixed?

Precise is an LTS and used mostly by businesses. Libreoffice is the

This bug also affects me. I did a clean install of the final version of
12.04 today and the bug is present there also. Whenever I try sending a
file to some google contact, the file transfer shows an error, after
which it gets cancelled.

The animation that shows that the icon of the newly launched app goes to
the launcher, is causing the problem I believe. There is no way of just
turning the animation off but without turning off the New applications
in launcher option.

Yes, it along with some other crashes started to happen after the last
update when a newer version of Unity was installed. So all these
problems have something to do with that new version of Unity.
