I'll run clementine from the console from now on and will update when it
happens again.

Happens to me in XFCE in Ubuntu 12.10 (quantal).
See screenshots of gEdit. It's fine when only 1 tab is open, if I open
another tab the background goes black. If I close all tabs it stays
black until I restart the app.

Confirmed on latest Chrome on Ubuntu with LXDE
This is incredibly annoying. Are we sure it's a bug though and not just
new expected behaviour ?
