When I tried to burn an audio cd with Brasero, it just sat at the
burning screen. The progress bar didn't move, it stayed at 0%. Just to
make sure I left it for 3 hours and when I came back it still hadn't
done anything. I went to the Edit menu
The info is only disappearing sometimes now Usuall when I close Pidgin
and reopen it the account info is still there. Also, when I reboot, it
is usually still there. But twice now, it has disappeared and Pidgin
thinks it is the first time it has been ran.

I tried to install python2.4-pygame, but it said the package was no
longer available but replaced by python-pygame. When I installed
python-pygame it was available in both python2.5 and 2.6 but in 2.4 it
gives there error "no module named pygam
I use espeak with gnome-speech. I have tried speech-dispatcher and the
problem seems worse with it, as in the loss of speech happens every 5 or
10 minutes. It also happens with ibmtts.

This really isn't a bug... The solution was simple but just didn't occur
to me. I had to install the restricted graphics driver. Works great

To launch the game I type supertux2. Supertux-stable seems to work
fine. The problem is in supertux2, game actions are very slow. I press
space to jump and eventually it does jump, but the next jump only
happens about 3, maybe 5 seconds later.

When using the guess tags function either with CTRL+g or in the Misc menu.

I found a work around. If you don't actually need the flash content, you can
install the Web Visum plugin. It can be found at:
http://www.webvisum.com/
Once the plugin is installed, it will have a menu under the tool menu in
Firefox. In one of the sub menus are the options hide flash content a
I think I have found another way to reproduce this bug. Open a file or
webpage with a lot of text/links. Use the arrow keys to move quickly up
and down through the file or webpage. It seems to close Orca almost
every time I do this. If you still have speech after moving rapidly

When Loading a page with flash content, Orca stops speaking. I have
tried to get to applications menu to log out and back in, but it doesn't
work. The only way I have found to get the computer working again is to
press ctrl-alt-backspace. It
I tried starting speech-dispatcher with the commands:
speech-dispatcher -d
and also:
speech-dispatcher -s
The first starts it as a daemon the second starts it as a single application.
Both of the commands gave the following error:
can't create pid file in /var/run/speech-dispatcher/speech-dispatch
I have the same problem. Using 2 computers, one a Gateway laptop, the
other a Compaq c500 laptop. Had 8.04 on a Compaq desktop with same
problem. The strange thing is, it worked in the last Alpha release but
not the beta or final release.

After downloading speech-dispatcher and python-speechd, when using spd-say, I
get the error:
client: speech-dispatcher failed to open: connection refused
speech-dispatcher also does not show up in Orca speech system combo box.

I have experienced this bug too. It's still here in the final release of
Hardy. It's impossible to reproduce with any reliability because it is
so random. It just happened as I was writing this message. For me, it
mostly happens with Firefox and Evolution. It can, however, occur in any
