Just experienced this bug with Ubuntu 18.10. Tried to share a folder
from Nautlius, it prompted me to install samba, which I did, but then it
gave the aforementioned error.
"sudo chown $USERNAME /var/lib/samba/usershares/ -R" fixed the problem

I have the same problem, everything worked fine until an update to the
bluetooth packages. My mouse is a logitech V470. Nothing seems to get
the mouse working again other than deleting it and adding it again.

I'm having this problem in Intrepid right now with bluez 4.12-0ubuntu2.
After a reboot, or coming back from a suspend, I must delete the mouse
from know devices list and then add it again.

Thanks for chasing this up. I suspect that it is nothing to do with
Ubuntu - just need to replace a battery on the motherboard. Please
close this off.

Downloaded a couple of updates late last week (not exactly sure of the
day) and installed. As soon as installed Time and Date has been
incorrect. Dropped into BIOS and reset correctly. Holds those settings
upon boot but then drops them on reboot.

After enabling the Nvidia restricted driver module (via System =>
Administration => Restricted Drivers Manager) and rebooting, my screen
resolution was set to 1024x768 when previously it was 1280x1024.
