Binary package hint: apport
I wanted to file a bug on ubuntu-bug, so i typed, 'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-
bug' and was told that Package ubuntu-bug did not exist.
The correct thing, apparently, was to type 'ubuntu-bug /usr/bin/ubuntu-
bug', or 'ubuntu-bug `ubuntu-bug`'.

Discovered which workaround works:
in /etc/modprobe.d/iwlagn.conf
options iwlagn 11n_disable50=1 11n_disable=1
Prior to using that workaround my wireless would crash almost
immediately when I attempted to do anything more than very low speed web
browsing, requiring a modprobe -r/modprobe of iwlang
I'm running an X200s, with an Intel 5300 AGN, on natty 11.04, with
module-init-tools, 3.12-1ubuntu6, which is 1 revision after the version
in which this problem is supposedly fixed.
I cannot sustain a download for more than a few seconds without the
wireless crashing and needing to either a) wait
I too, have this problem. I get about 90 seconds of wifi every two
minutes. I'm currently tethering via USB to my mobile phone which is
then connected to the wifi so I can use the Internet properly on this
laptop. A dangerous game, because if the wifi drops out on the phone I
start using my 3G data
I have done some testing with this bug. I can replicate with this
technique the mode of failure in the alt-f2 runner:
Steps:
1)
2) Type 'xlogo'
3) Wait until xlogo appears. Click on it with the mouse.
4) Close the xlogo window that appears
5)
6) Quickly type 'xeyes'

What's the best way of actually bringing the issue to the attention of
someone who can resolve this problem? Commenting here isn't helping at
the moment.

Suggested resolution:
Use /bin/dash instead of /bin/sh for scripts that are desired to run
fast, and revert the change.
If you like ./configure running faster, then patch the code so that
./configure has #!/bin/dash.
This change has obviously caused regressions, and should be considered a
