Hi, same problem here:
I have a Dell E6510. The AlpsPS/2 touchpad completely disappeared after
upgrading to Lucid-proposed (both a PS/2 and a AlpsPS/2 were shown before in
gpointing-device-settings). The touchpad can't be configured and scrolling
doesn't work.
