Steps to reproduce:
- Open a video in Totem or in VLC
- Activate the dash
The part of the dash which overlaps the video is flickering (repeatedly
becoming fully transparent for a fraction of a second). It doesn't matter

a crash - problem seems to be solved by removing nvidia drivers.

On my machine, this problem seems to be related to chromium app tabs - when the
app tab is blinking with notification, the cpu usage by compiz goes to ~ 50 %.
