When booting 12.04 (with all updates installed), X loads but only covers
the upper half of the screen. On the bottom half the console output of
the boot process is still visible.

psb_gfx is loaded on boot, but when lightdm first launces, X only covers
the top half of the screen, the lower half is still console messages
