When networking is not working and a package e.g. "Okular" is set to
install, the install fails. However, A broken question-mark icon is
created in the Launcher/Dock.

The /etc/networking/interfaces file in the default live-cd environment
has:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet manual
This prevents network-manager from managing the wired interface on the
system.
