Michael as im having the same issue; i might try and do the same. Quite disappointing that we have to rely on Windows to bail us out. Ive even tried compiling the Intel drivers under Linux with the same error. Perhaps a live Windows Distro like Barts PE? I dont want to have to put the V1sta disks i
