I can confirm that.
The behaviour in Lucid was to clone the login window on every screen. This is
what should probably be default again.

Seems like a gksu bug. Starting gksu and entering a wrong password gives this
without asking for a password for a second time:

I saw this issue on a Zepto Znote 3215W on Jaunty and Karmic. I think
this is due to a new driver for the Elantech touchpads. In older
releases (without the driver) they operated in imps compatibility mode -
the workaround forces them into this mode.
