I do face the same issue. It works on Fedora 14, whether I use the live cd or an updated install. Persistence/self-discovery goes out of order on the fedora updated system, but on Ubuntu 10.04.1/2 or 10.10 Rhythmbox kills Firefly on my Lacie NAS (arm). This does not happen when I connect Ubuntu
