I side with Kovid. I admire him for doing this app. Because ever since

That was a 9.10 distro updating to 10.4. And so far damaged beyond
repair. And some call this a stable distro - almost a year later it's
unusable.

Dunno. I have moved over to smplayer and it was such a break. No bugs so
far, but a few improvements (like remembering where the movie stopped

My stick had no partition table. It was preformatted and all used in
FAT32 (4Gb). Had to create a partition table and a primary partition in
order to use it. I see it is confirmed, but because this broken app is
published on all blogs and even on the Ubuntu documentation pages THIS
should be marked

I'm pretty happy with Gnome-mplayer which does not have any of these
issues.. So I don't think I'll bother to install it to find some other
issues. Anyway, I'd recommend you do switch to plain mplayer unless you
have a need for complex playlists - it sure is faster.
