Intel. In Maverick, the display was perfectly stable, however, since
upgrading to Natty, it hangs repeatedly when not used. The machine is
still usable (can vt switch and restart

then, as this is many months old now, but it was definitely an upgrade)

so I just upgraded my lucid box to maverick.
it appears openssh-server no longer uses init scripts (rc*.d), but
depends on upstart.
Unfortunately, this means it's not starting and I have to blindly log in
(with keyboard attached, headless box) to start sshd (/etc/init.d/ssh
I'm not convinced this is invalid. The bug isn't against this package,
but I just upgraded from Lucid to Maverick and was hit by the nvidia
stuff being installed in the process of the upgrade.
There's a bug somewhere in the upgrade process (at least when run from
aptitude) that is causing the nvi
right, I figured that out. However, the ati driver isn't well supported
with this laptop it seems (for instance, whatever flash does to go full
screen it's well supported, so if you full screen in hulu, it's choppy,
but if you drag the pop out window so its full screen, it works fine),
so sticking

guess I was wrong.

I'm running evolution now to see if it happens, but the setup has
changed. B4 I was dealing with imap servers that weren't setup so well,
so would have lot of problems. Since then my email has been moved to a
much better run imap server, so might not be able to reproduce it.

that totem has a UDF parser within it, and is reading the raw device and

not exactly, but from memory, as it's currently (my fixed version)

dns was after the [NOTFOUND...] and it was something like

but can't remember exactly.

not true. I've upgraded this laptop from when it was running dapper.
libcss was installed already, it was a libdvdread issue, when I
downgraded to edgy's version (of libdvdread) it works perfectly.

In order to get around the bug I filed against libdvdread3, I've
installed the version from edgy and pinned it so it wont get upgraded.
However, while apt-get, aptitude respect the pin, update-notifier shows
