Some days ago Pidgin began to connect to jabber servers without a
problem! The Pidgin version is the same (2.2.1) and I don't remember
about libpurple updates... It's a kind of magic!

it works well with jabber.

I didn't encounter this kind of problem in Feisty, but, after upgrade to Gutsy
beta, I experience that bug as well. Exactly as described above.
My hardware is Dell Inspiron 6400.
