I confirm that the command line fixed the issue for me. Previously the
failure was happening almost daily, but never since the machine was
rebooted using those switches

I have exactly the same issue with 'Samsung SSD 990 PRO with Heatsink
4TB', firmware 4B2QJXD7. Kernel 6.8.0-60-generic. Will be trying the
"nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=0 pcie_aspm=off pcie_port_pm=off"
workaround now.

I am experiencing exactly the same issue on Ubuntu 24.04. Stack trace
is:
```
Thread 1 "gnome-screensav" received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
(gdb) bt
#0 0x0003 in ??? ()
#1 0x7703e207 in XQueryExtension
(dpy=0x555a7690, name=0x7fff
is there a workaround?
FWIW I used method described here
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=236536 and it works for me:
echo -n ":00:14.0" | tee /sys/bus/pci/drivers/xhci_hcd/unbind
sleep 5
echo -n ":00:14.0" | tee /sys/bus/pci/drivers/xhci_hcd/bind
Public bug reported:
When entering a new disk password, the password is escaped. For example:
1. Select to erase operating system and encrypt disk
2. Enter password containing special characters, such as slash "\", for
example: "password\\"
3. Observe, that after reboot actual password to unlock
Am I reading it right, that short of not using btrfs there is no
workaround?
