I was unable to reproduce this bug by installing maven and following the
"Maven in 5 Minutes" instructions here:
http://maven.apache.org/guides/getting-started/maven-in-five-
minutes.html
I also tried 'mvn compile' in the project directory with no problems.
Output of 'mvn -v'
Apache Maven 2.2.1
I was unable to confirm this bug. I installed openjdk 6
(6b18-1.8-0ubuntu1) and Eclipse Galileo (standard version, not the
Enterprise-Edition). I able to create and run Hello World application
with no crashes.
