Partial Work Around:
Use Evince to fill in the PDF form.
Open the filled-in form using flpsed (version 0.5.2). Use the File --> Export
PDF (or Ctrl-x) command to write a PDF.
The PDF created by flpsed contains the form data and the data entered to fill
in the form--but this new PDF is no longer
