I can reproduce this error at will!! It is within my power. I merely need to
open the multimedia systems selector. THEN! for "default output/plugin" here
are my choices:autodetect; alsa; esd; oss; and custom. alsa, esd, and oss
"cannot open resource for writing" when i press the test but
