I log into a "classic" x11 session and do this:

And then I read "Monitor is Off", which is clearly displayed, visible,

I have the same bug as the OP. And the workaround number one also worked
for me. However, I was reading all those comments and I found some
little differences, listed below...
- on Ubuntu 24.04.1.
- on Wayland, and also tested on X11.

Hi Beniz! Of course, trying to build this library using the official
sources was my first idea. As it worked fine, I naively believed that
the clean solution was to locally rebuild the Debian package. Obviously,
it is not so straightforward. :( I do not know why the 14th test hangs

Hello and excuse me for the dead time ... I rarely check this mail

The issue is fixed since a very long time.
I upgrade my computer to 15.04 without any problem yesterday !
