Public bug reported: When I connect my ViewSonic HDMI 1080p Full HD External Monitor via MultiDisplay port DP1, it appears in Xubuntu with a maximum screen resolution of 1024 x 768. In Windows 8 I can set it to 1920 x 1080. Spent 2 months trying to resolve the issue using multiple recommendatio
