After:
apt-get install fprint-demo libfprint-dev libfprint0 libpam-fprintd
and calling fprint_demo, I got:
"no devices found"

Is there any news about this bug (2011-04-12)?
I'm having this problem also.
I've tried in two forms: from synaptic, and downloading the extension
and trying to install from ooo. Attached pictures of the problems.
