I'm using the Portuguese (port_PT) Ubuntu Intrepid. When I insert an
audio CD and open Banshee, when I click the CD icon, banshee crashes and
I get the following error:

I managed to solved the problem using the latest drivers from alsa
(alsa-driver-1.0.18a). Everything builds correctly, my sound card is
correctly detected and I haven't got any problem booting the system now.

because my sound card (echo mia) is not supported by Ubuntu out of the
box.
At Intrepid I get the same error when building alsa. If I apply the

Note: I'm filling this bug at Beagle because I don't now what is the
appropriate package corresponding to the Gnome "open file dialog".
I'm using Beagle at Ubuntu Gutsy instead of Tracker. When I try to open
a file, for example at gedit, and try to search for some text, I get
I'm having the same problem with Network Manager at Gutsy as Olivier. I
always get the "no network adapter" message at Network Manager applet,
even when I restart the laptop. I can only get NM working if I use the
commands Olivier explained before:

I'm having the same error with Gutsy since I've update my system today.

The program 'gnome-settings-daemon' received an X Window System error.

Maybe the problem is specific to my Ubuntu installation.
I'm attaching the log file I got by running miro from the console. I
don't get any error related to the downloading of movies. I just get a
imagemagick (which I have got installed) error.
I noticed that when I try to download a movie there
I'm attaching a ogg movie so you can see what's happening. BTW, I'm
connected to the Internet when trying to download the movies.

Hi,
I noticed that I was using laptop-mode instead of using Gnome power
manager. So I followed Kevin suggestion, and now beagle seams to be
working much better when my laptop is on battery power.
Anyway, when I'm on battery power if I enter the command "beagle-info
--is-indexing", I always get "T
Good news! I managed to solve the problem by removing all compiz gconf
configurations:
rm -R ~/.gconf/apps/compiz/
Now desktop effects is working perfectly. Maybe there where some bad
gconf configurations at my system preventing compiz to work well.

but the problem still exists.

I have tomboy running at the top panel and I get the first error. I
tried to remove tomboy, executing it at the terminal, but I still can't
launch the notes from the search results.
Maybe it is something related to my tomboy installation. I've to check
it out.
