Actually, /dev/wacom is created on startup, by /etc/init.d/wacom-tools.
This file is owned by package 'wacom-tools', which *should* be required
(or at least recommended) by xserver-xorg-input-wacom.

Unfortunately this patch breaks PCI detection for various users, and
this patch had to be reverted.
We need to either fix the regresssion this patch created, or apply it
only on platforms were PCI domains is used everywhere. (is this the case
for either sparc or powerpc?)

Unfortunately I am not able to reproduce this locally, on any of my
machines. The latest package upload of xorg-server has two patches that
might be the responsible for this issue. I have packaged two different
experimental versions of xorg-server, each one removin
I'm working on an update to xorg-server as we speak.
Should be uploaded to the mirrors in one or two hours.
