There is clearly some sort of issue in Thunderbird that I see in support
requests all of the time, that sent messages have odd mimetypes because
of presumably unexpected changes to mimeTypes.rdf. Is that this bug, or
is there another that tracks this?

promoted as a core feature instead of as an addon? It seems to me this
