I've seen this under regular Ubuntu . I haven't made any changes to fonts or themes. Yes it does occur all the time but appears differently for some letters. For example, an 'm' or a 'p' have lblur lines the same height as the letters but a 'g' or 'o' only has a line a few pixels high, etc -- You
