Seems to be tied to the iscsitarget sysctl settings. These were
previously fine, but something in the new kernel doesn't support the
"net.ipv4.tcp_mem" property anymore.
Temporary fix is to comment that line out of the
/etc/sysctl.d/30-iscsitarget.conf file (add a # at the beginning of line
7)

Duplicated on an AMD64 desktop (os is i386) using Hardy 8.04 Alpha 5.
This happens in Totem and mplayer as well. Some people reported that
Totem's "Play Disc" option works, but it also gave the same error for me
in this case.

don't actually seem to mention its name anywhere though - are you
referring to the individual per-driver proprietary settings tools (like
nvidia-settings) as the successor to displayconfig-gtk ? or is there
something else.
